i-Estimator

As well as working through the examples in this booklet, you can use the DFRDB i-Estimator to quickly gain an estimate of your likely benefit.

This facility, which operates under Member Services Online at www.dfrdb.gov.au, allows you to work out prospective benefits on various types of exit while making provision for taxation, inflation and salary increases. Because the calculations are based on several assumptions, they cannot be regarded as official estimates. If you are retiring from the Defence Force within 12 months, you should get an official benefit estimate from ComSuper.

To use the i-Estimator, you will need an Access Number. If you were already using Member Services Online before 13 February 2004, you will no longer be able to use your current Access Number to log in. An upgrade of security and services means that the pages you accessed previously are no longer available. If you wish to gain access to the new service you must apply for a new Access Number by downloading the D-Access form.

Note: You cannot use the i-Estimator when you have had a family law payment split.
